Level 5: Controller Setup

This page is for the manual setup of the controller on a fresh install of Retropie.

If you’re planning on building the whole Retropie image yourself rather than using the preconfigured version, start here.

Controller Install

1. at the command line type:

cd ~
git clone https://github.com/mholgatem/GPIOnext.git
bash GPIOnext/install.sh

2. follow the on screen instructions for our controller

3. after running through the installer, at the command line type:

gpionext set pins 3,6,7,8,13,16,18,29,31,38
gpionext reload
